Editors' Comments
Tom Appel: Oh, so that's what a $6,900 car-audio system sounds like. And like the superlative stereo, everything about this car is over the top, but in the best possible way. Fabulous to look at, magnificent to be seen in, and awesome to drive, this killer Bentley might actually be worth its staggering asking price.
Ed Piotrowski: Normally I'd say owning this car requires more money than sense. Upon spending a weekend in it, though, owning it actually makes a lot of sense for those who have the disposable income to afford such an indulgence. The wonderful Naim audio system, despite being a nearly $7,000 option, makes the Continental just about worth the price of admission.
Jack Stewart: Following in the footsteps of the Bentley R-Type Continental of the Fifties, the GTC is fast, yet remarkably smooth and luxurious. Power is always on tap and the handling is secure. The interior coddles its occupants in wood and leather, while the purr of the engine is background music that never intrudes.
