Audi Q7 3.0 TDI

2009 Audi Q7 TDI

Based on Volkswagen’s Touareg 2 (Audi and VW are part of the same corporate family), Audi’s new Q7 TDI is a few inches longer and offers a third row of seats for up to a seven-passenger capacity vs. the Touareg’s five. However, even Audi admits the third row is only for those up to 5-feet-4-inches tall.

We averaged a laudable 25.8 mpg in all highway driving on a long cross-country trip, but we’d expect it to return closer to the Touareg’s 21.8-mpg average overall.
