
Volvo's C30 is a new-for-2008 premium compact car.
C30 seats 4, each occupant in their own bucket seat. The rear buckets fold flat for expanded cargo storage. Two trim levels will be offered: Version 1.0 and Version 2.0. Both use a turbocharged 2.5-liter 227-horsepower 5-cylinder engine and 6-speed manual or optional 5-speed automatic transmission.
Version 1.0 comes equipped with a stereo that can play MP3s and an MP3 auxiliary jack, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, Bauxite dashboard trim, 17-inch alloy wheels, and chrome exhaust tips. Version 2.0 adds a stereo upgrade complete with 10 speakers and Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound, aluminum dashboard trim, Sirius satellite radio, 18-inch alloy wheels, a larger rear spoiler, and a sport body kit that includes side skirts and unique front and rear fascias.

Standard safety equipment on both versions include ABS, front driver and passenger airbags, front side airbags, Volvo's Dynamic Stability and Traction Control, and side curtain airbags. Options on both Versions include Volvo's Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), power sunroof, Rear Park Assist, DVD navigation, cruise control, heated seats, and keyless drive.

"It's loaded with good looks, performance, big wheels, and a stellar audio system. Better yet, it's got 80 years of Volvo's safety heritage behind it."
Expect to see C30 on dealer lots in late summer or early fall.

C30 is a 2-door hatchback that shares a platform with Volvo's S40
sedan and V50 wagon.
