 The 2008 Nissan Rogue is an all-new compact SUV.

Nissan introduces a new compact SUV for 2008. Rogue is a 4-door wagon with seating for five. It shares its platform with
Nissan's Sentra compact sedan, and was developed as part of a joint venture with France's Renault. Versions of the truck will be sold under either the
Nissan or Renault banner throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Rogue will likely compete with
Honda CR-V,
Suzuki Grand Vitara, and
Toyota RAV4.
2008 Nissan Rogue Specifications Wheelbase: 105.9 in. Length: 182.9 in. Width: 70.9 in. Height: 65.3 in. Cargo Volume: 57.9 cu. ft.

S and SL models are available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive without low-range gearing. The sole powertrain is a 175-horsepower 4-cyl with a continuously variable automatic transmission. ABS and an antiskid system are standard, as are front side airbags and curtain side airbags. Leather upholstery, heated front seats, wireless cell phone link, and Xenon headlights are optional.
Look for Rogue in late 2007. Full pricing was not announced, but we estimate Rogue will start at about $20,000. Check back for our full drive report.
