A traction-enhancing limited-slip front differential is available for both. Altima coupes start sale next summer as 2008 models.

They share a basic front-drive platform with Altima sedans, but have a shorter wheelbase and look a bit like the rear-drive Infiniti G35 coupe at Nissan's luxury division.

Pricing and equipment information is still some months away, but Nissan says the coupe will offer the same 4-cyl and V6 powerteams as Altima sedans.
