The convertible is slightly heavier than the coupe, a bit wider in back, and has less luggage space. Most everything else is the same. Aston decided against a retractable hard top to reduce cost and complexity, opting for a conventional fabric roof. With triple-layer construction to minimize noise, it powers up or down in a claimed 18 sec.

Speaking of time, Aston says the convertible is as quick as the fixed-top Vantage, doing 0-60 mph in about 5 seconds and 175 mph all out-roof raised, we presume. Pricing hasn't been announced, but informed guesstimates peg the base sticker at $120,000-$125,000.
