Now in its 98th year, the Chicago Auto Show is known as the people's show. With over one million eager car shoppers spinning the turnstiles each year, it's easy to see how it built that reputation. Consumers who attend the Chicago show get the best of everything. Ample parking, large manufacturer displays, and plenty of scenery on Chicago's lakefront.
CG Most Significant
Introduction Award![]() ![]() Consumer Guide's editors voted Lexus ES (top)most significant car and Toyota Tundra most significant truck. |
The Chicago Auto Show is also important for the automobile manufacturers because it gives them a chance to introduce U.S.-specific vehicles away from the glitz and hype of the Detroit Auto Show. This year's show features important introductions from General Motors, Chrysler Corporation, Lexus, Toyota, Ford, and Mercedes-Benz. In addition, there will also be a number of significant concept reveals.
Chicago also happens to be the home of Consumer Guide. Editorial Director Mark Bilek and Auto Editors Jennifer Geiger and Ed Piotrowski will be reporting live from the show floor, giving savvy car shoppers the news and information they need to make the right buying decisions. In addition, this year we will offer video reviews of significant vehicles and round-up reviews touching on important trends. Here's a rundown of significant introductions.
