2010 Jaguar XJ
Jaguar redesigns its flagship XJ for 2010.
Model-year 2010 is an important one for Jaguar. This British automaker is hoping to bring increased sales through superior firepower, with the introduction of brand-new engines across its entire product portfolio. Leading the lineup is a redesigned XJ flagship sedan flanked by more powerful versions of its XF sedan and XK coupe and convertible. Here are the specifics about what’s new for these Jaguar models.

2010 Jaguar XF: In addition to new, more powerful engines, Jaguar’s top-selling car line gains a high-performance XFR model. While Base XFs retain a 300-horsepower 4.2-liter V8 engine, all others have a new 5.0-liter V8 that uses high-pressure direct injection designed to increase power and fuel economy. XF Premium has 385 horsepower; the Supercharged has 470 horsepower. The top-end XFR has 510 horsepower and specific trim. All use a 6-speed automatic transmission. A Portfolio Package for the Premium includes 20-inch wheels, a heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, upgraded leather upholstery, and other unique interior trim. Most of these features are standard on the Supercharged and XFR; the latter adds adaptive cruise control.
