by Ed Piotrowski

Jaguar redesigns its flagship XJ for 2010.
2010 Jaguar XF: In addition to new, more powerful engines, Jaguar’s top-selling car line gains a high-performance XFR model. While Base XFs retain a 300-horsepower 4.2-liter V8 engine, all others have a new 5.0-liter V8 that uses high-pressure direct injection designed to increase power and fuel economy. XF Premium has 385 horsepower; the Supercharged has 470 horsepower. The top-end XFR has 510 horsepower and specific trim. All use a 6-speed automatic transmission. A Portfolio Package for the Premium includes 20-inch wheels, a heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, upgraded leather upholstery, and other unique interior trim. Most of these features are standard on the Supercharged and XFR; the latter adds adaptive cruise control.
