The 2010 Volvo XC90 has a revised model roster and some new standard features. This premium midsize SUV offers seating for up to seven passengers. Three models are available. The 3.2 and 3.2 R-Design reprise a 235-hp 3.2-liter 6-cylinder engine. The V8 has a 311-hp 4.4-liter V8. The V8 R-Design has been discontinued. All XC90s use a 6-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is 3970 lb with the 6-cylinder and 4960 lb with the V8. All-wheel drive is standard on V8 models and optional for the 6-cylinder. All 3.2 versions have standard front-wheel drive. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front side airbags, and curtain side airbags. Blind-spot alert is optional. Newly standard on the 2010 XC90 3.2 are a 3rd-row seat, integrated 2nd-row child booster seats, rear-obstacle detection, and leather upholstery. These features had previously been standard on the 3.2 R-Design and/or V8 and optional on the 3.2 and/or 3.2 R-Design. Heated front seats are optional on all. A navigation system, dual-screen DVD entertainment, and a wireless cell phone link are optional. An optional Executive Package for the V8 includes ventilated front seats with massage function, heated 2nd-row seats, specific trim, and 19-inch wheels.
