Vehicle Highlights

The 2010 Volkswagen Jetta undergoes a slight model re-organization while receiving freshened interior and exterior styling. This compact car is Volkswagen's top seller in the US. It comes as a 4-door sedan or 4-door wagon called the SportWagen. Both body styles are available in S and SE trim levels. The sedan also comes as the SEL; the SEL wagon has been discontinued. The S, SE, and SEL are powered by a 170-hp 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine. Also offered as a sedan or wagon is the diesel TDI. These Jettas get a 140-hp 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine. The diesel is emissions legal in all 50 states. The sporty GLI becomes the Wolfsburg Edition for 2010. It's a sedan only and comes with a turbocharged 200-hp 2.0-liter 4-cylinder. S and SE versions are available with a 5-speed manual transmission. TDI and Wolfsburg Edition have a 6-speed manual. Standard on the SEL and available on all other Jettas is a 6-speed automatic. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, front side airbags, and rear side airbags. Wolfsburg Editions have a sport suspension and specific trim. A navigation system, sunroof, and iPod adapter are among the available options. A panoramic sunroof is available on the wagon. Due later in model-year 2010 is the Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition, which includes specific exterior styling, 18-inch wheels, sport seats, and interior trim.
