2010 Maserati Spyder Buying Advice
Drive the GranTurismo coupe once it reaches dealers; if you like it, but want the full-outdoors experience, put down a deposit for your Spyder--right then and there. Like most boutique cars, this one should be in high demand and short supply for the first year or so, which encourages dealers to pad prices as much as the market will bear--and the inevitable rabid speculators are willing to pay. Too much hassle? Then consider worthy drop-top alternatives with similar performance and character like an Audi RS4, BMW 6-Series, Jaguar XKR, or a Mercedes CLK550/CLK63 AMG. These may be less "special" than the Maserati, but they all cost a bit less and are little less exclusive.
2010 Maserati Spyder Release Date: U.S. sales should begin by late spring or early summer of 2009, just in time for the top-down driving season.
2010 Maserati Spyder First Test Drive: Journalists have already sampled the 2008 GranTurismo coupe, and should get first crack at the Spyder either late in calendar 2008 or early in '09.
2010 Maserati Spyder Prices: The GT coupe lists for around $110,000. We'd guess the Spyder will start at $150,000, though it could be more, depending on how many Maserati decides to build.
