Vehicle Highlights
The 2010 Kia Optima is largely unchanged. This midsize car shares elements of its basic design with the Sonata produced by Kia's corporate parent, Hyundai. Optima comes in LX, SX, and EX trim levels, each with a choice of a 175-hp 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine or a 194-hp 2.7-liter V6. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard on the 4-cylinder LX. A 5-speed automatic is optional for that model, and is standard otherwise. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front side airbags, and curtain side airbags. Available features on EX and SX include heated front seats, sunroof, power-adjustable pedals, navigation system, and satellite radio. Newly standard on SX is keyless access and engine start. We have not yet tested a 2010 Kia Optima.
