From the Back Seat

The XK's distinctive shape sacrifices passenger and cargo room, so it is a plaything for the well-off for whom these aren't key concerns. The driving can be fun, exciting even, while the surroundings are tasteful and refined, and there are probably lots of buyers in this class for whom that's just the right mix.

Sleek and suave, this Gentleman's conveyance is just the thing for well-heeled sophisticates with little need for a rear seat. The outstanding Mercedes-Benz CL coupes are more refined mechanically, but come off as sterile when compared to these charming Jags. If I was thinking about dropping about $100,000 on a coupe, I might opt for the Mercedes, but the Jag would certainly be on my consideration list.
