Vehicle Highlights
The 2010 Hyundai Genesis sees no major changes following its introduction for the 2009 model year. Hyundai's largest car comes in two models, 3.8 and 4.6. The 3.8 has a 290-hp 3.8-liter V6 engine. The 4.6 has a 4.6-liter V8 that produces 375 hp using premium-grade gas and 368 hp using regular. A 6-speed automatic is the sole transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front and rear side airbags. All models have a knob in the center console that governs audio, navigation, and other functions. Leather upholstery and heated front seats are standard. A navigation system, power rear sunshade, and power tilt and telescopic steering wheel are standard on the 4.6 and optional on the 3.8. A cooled driver seat, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, adaptive cruise control, and a rearview camera are available on all. Note that Hyundai sells a sporty 2-door version of this car called the Genesis Coupe (see separate report). This report is based on evaluations of the 2009 Hyundai Genesis.
