Vehicle Highlights
The 2010 Hyundai Accent lineup should see no major changes. Accent should return as a 2-door hatchback in GS Base, GS Popular, and SE trims, and as a 4-door sedan in GLS form. The sole engine should remain a 110-hp 1.6-liter 4-cylinder that teams with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. Available safety features should include ABS, front side airbags, and curtain side airbags. GS Base is a low-price model that should not be available with air conditioning or a tilt steering wheel. These features should remain optional on the GS Popular. Power windows and locks and remote entry are standard on SE and optional on the GLS and automatic-transmission GS Popular. SE should return with a standard sport suspension. Accent lends its basic design to the Rio from Hyundai's Kia division, but Rio differs in features, pricing, and warranty coverage. This report is based on evaluations of the 2009 Hyundai Accent.
