Vehicle Highlights

The 2010 Ford Mustang is revamped with new styling, an upgraded interior, and more V8 power. These sporty/performance coupes and convertibles are available with V6 and V8 engines. Base versions have a 210-horsepower 4.0-liter V6. GTs have a 315-horsepower 4.6-liter V8, up 15 from '09. Both V6 and GT models are available in base or Premium trims. All are available with manual or automatic transmission. Also returning is the high-performance Shelby GT500. It has a 540-horsepower supercharged 5.4-liter V8 and mandatory 6-speed manual transmission. The GT500 is offered as a coupe or convertible. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, new-for-2010 antiskid system, and front-side airbags. Newly standard is a capless fuel filler. Other new-for-2010 available features include ambient interior lighting and a rearview camera. Ford's Sync, which offers voice control for cell phones and MP3 players, is also available. The available navigation system now includes real-time traffic updates. A fixed glass roof panel is a stand-alone option. Newly optional for manual-transmission GT Premium coupes is a "Trackpack", which includes a limited-slip differential, uprated brakes, sport suspension, 19-inch wheels, and a special antiskid system.
