The 2010 Dodge Caliber lineup loses its high-performance model but gains a redesigned interior. This compact hatchback comes in SE, SXT, and R/T trim levels. The sporty SRT4 has been discontinued. All use a 4-cylinder engine and come with front-wheel drive. SE and SXT have a 158-hp 2.0-liter engine. The 148-hp 1.8-liter engine has also been dropped. R/T has a 172-hp 2.4-liter 4-cylinder. All have a standard 5-speed manual transmission and an optional continuously variable automatic (CVT). Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Available features include a fold-flat front passenger seat, ventilated glovebox, and wireless cell-phone link. Heated front seats are standard on the R/T and available on the SXT. Leather upholstery is optional on the R/T. This report is based on evaluations of the 2009 Dodge Caliber.
