Vehicle Highlights
The 2010 Cadillac SRX is redesigned with freshened styling, smaller dimensions, and new engines. About 5 inches shorter in both wheelbase and overall length than its 2004-2009 predecessor, the SRX seats five (it previously offered a 3rd-row seat for up to seven-passenger capacity) and is offered as a Base model with front-wheel drive and a Luxury version with all-wheel drive. The standard engine is a 265-hp 3.0-liter V6 capable of running on ethanol-blended E85 fuel. Due midyear is an optional 300-hp turbocharged 2.8-liter V6. Both engines team with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is 3500 lb. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Available features include a navigation system with hard drive for storing digital music files, steering-linked headlights, a cargo management system, a programmable power liftgate, heated and cooled front seats, adjustable pedals, and DVD entertainment. This review is based on preview test drives.
