The 2010 Buick LaCrosse is an impressive sedan. It is very refined with excellent ride quality, a smooth and strong 3.6-liter V6, a classy interior that looks more expensive than it is, and surprisingly good fuel economy--I managed 26.3 mpg in my mostly highway test. Add LaCrosse to the list of the latest GM products that are surprisingly good and should be good enough to erase some preconceived notions about the company. Now GM needs figure out if people don't know they are making very competitive products, or if people just don't care.

Our test CXS acquitted itself well as a roomy near-luxury sedan aimed at established rivals such as the Lexus ES 350, with a smooth ride, value pricing, and available all-wheel drive its trump cards.
