Vehicle Highlights
The 2010 Aston Martin DBS lineup gains a new convertible body style. DBS is this British automaker's flagship vehicle. Although it looks nearly identical to its DB9 stablemate, the DBS has more power and is lighter thanks in part to some carbon-fiber body panels. The coupe has standard two-passenger seating with an optional two-place rear bench. The Volante convertible seats four and has a power-folding soft top. All have a 510-hp 5.9-liter V12 engine. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic with steering-wheel paddles for manual operation. All DBS models have an adaptive suspension and carbon ceramic brake rotors. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, and front side airbags that provide head and torso protection. Convertibles have standard rollover bars that are designed to deploy in the event of an impending tip. Standard features on all DBS models include a navigation system, wireless cell-phone link, leather upholstery, heated front seats, and carbon-fiber interior trim. All have standard 20-inch wheels, and several wheel designs are optional.
