Vehicle Highlights
The 2009 Suzuki SX4 offers some new features, including a navigation system. This subcompact car comes in hatchback and sedan body styles. Both use a 143-hp 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with a standard 5-speed manual or an optional 4-speed automatic transmission. The sedan is front-wheel drive and comes in Base, LE, and Sport trim levels. Hatchbacks are called Crossover and come in a single trim level. Hatchbacks offer all-wheel drive that lacks low-range gearing, but can be set for a 50/50 front/rear power split or front-drive only. A front-drive hatchback is new for 2009. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front side airbags, and curtain side airbags. Most optional features are part of packages, which are priced as separate models. Sedans are available with a Popular Package that includes keyless entry and cruise control. Both body styles offer a Technology Package, which includes a wireless cell-phone link. Also available on hatchbacks and sedans is the Touring Package, which includes all items in the Technology Package as well as keyless access and engine start and automatic climate control. A navigation system is standard on several SX4 models.
