With its mix of price, standard equipment, and fun-to-drive attributes, this Consumer Guide Best Buy certainly has earned its stripes. It's a lot roomier inside than expected, given its compact outward appearance, and the availability of AWD and navigation at this price point is good news for shoppers in this segment.

Even in its third model year, the Suzuki SX4 remains a likable runabout. Gas mileage isn't par for the class, but the combination of comfort, fit and finish, all-wheel drive, a navigation system, and practicality still make the little Suzuki a solid Best Buy.

SX4 is agile and fun to drive. As a bonus it is also the cheapest AWD vehicle. Those who want the all-weather benefits of AWD without the bulk and expense of a big SUV should look at the SX4.

The SX4 Crossover continues to impress as a fun-to-drive, comfortable little vehicle that's also very affordable. The Technology Package-equipped vehicle in this test topped out at just $17,223 with delivery. The only drawback this tester found with the Tech Package was the traffic-warning system's Mistress of the Obvious voice, which would inevitably interrupt a good song on the radio to announce "Slow traffic area ahead"--as the driver was already inching his way into a tangle big enough that it could have been seen from outer space.
