Vehicle Highlights

The 2009 Roush Mustang is a high-performance version of Ford's Mustang "pony car." Roush is an independent company that modifies existing vehicles to such an extent that it becomes the manufacturer of record. The company's Stage 3 and 427-R models are essentially Mustang GTs with upgraded styling, handling, and additional power. The Stage 3 adds a supercharger to the Mustang GT's 4.6-liter V8 for a total of 430 hp. The 427-R uses a 435-hp version of the same engine and comes with unique wheels. Both are available with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, and front side airbags. Other available features include a short-throw shifter for manual-transmission models. Note that Roush also offers performance upgrades for V6 models as well as aftermarket performance equipment.
