The 2009 Nissan 350Z convertible returns to this Japanese manufacturer's lineup. The 350Z hardtop coupe has been discontinued pending a redesign due in calendar 2009, at which point it will be dubbed the 370Z. The 350Z convertible uses the same basic design and powertrains as the 2003-2008 models. It seats two and has a power-folding soft top with heated-glass rear window. Three trim levels are offered: Enthusiast, Touring, and Grand Touring. All offer a 306-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine with a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, and side airbags that provide head and torso protection. Leather upholstery and heated seats are standard on the Touring. A navigation system is optional on the Touring and Grand Touring.
