2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Jeep unveiled a redesigned-for-2011 Grand Cherokee.

Despite the fact that the auto industry is in the middle of one of the toughest economic climates it's ever faced, the 2009 New York Auto Show demonstrated surprisingly more flash than fizzle. Rounding out a rather subdued auto show season, this year's New York show was home to a few world debuts, several North American premieres, and a handful of eye-catching concept reveals.

It appears that SUVs are still en vogue, as several production and concept utes were unveiled like Jeep's redesigned-for-2011 Grand Cherokee, sleek 2-door concepts from Acura and Hyundai, and new entries from GMC and Land Rover.

Power was plentiful as well; Mercedes-Benz added an AMG version to its E-Class lineup, a new Mazdaspeed3 bows for 2010, and two of BMW's SUVs are slated to join the M club.
