Vehicle Highlights
The 2009 Mazda B-Series trucks are little changed. This compact pickup borrows its underskin design from the Ford Ranger, but it differs in styling and features. B-Series offers the regular-cab B2300 and extended B4000 Cab Plus 4. Each comes with a two-passenger front bench seat. The B4000 adds two rear jump seats and rear-hinged access doors. The B2300 has a 143-hp 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine. The B4000 has a 207-hp 4.0-liter V6. All offer manual or automatic transmission. B2300 is rear-wheel drive only. B4000 has 4-wheel drive that should not be left engaged on dry pavement but includes a low-range gear for off-roading. Available safety equipment includes ABS. Traction control, an antiskid system, and side airbags are not offered.
