The Lexus RX was one of the first luxury crossover SUVs, and it's still at the head of its class. Sporty handling is not its forte, but it excels at understated, serene luxury. The Pebble Beach Edition option package seems exorbitantly priced at first blush, but it offers a decent level of extra equipment along with the exclusive appearance components.
Lynne Richman
This is one of the easiest SUVs to drive. It handles like a car and the size/proportion does not overpower a smaller driver. The standard model is so elegant and well-engineered, there is no reason to choose the higher-priced Pebble Beach Edition unless you live and breathe golf.
Tom Appel
The Lexus RX was among the first luxury crossovers, and it remains one of the best--assuming you have no desire for sportiness. This comfortable SUV rides well, accelerates strongly, and is plenty quiet. Push it in a corner however, and things get ugly. But that's not the RX's mission. Looking for undemanding luxury in an unassuming package? The well-polished RX350 is a nice choice.
