Date Published: 6/07/08
2009 Honda Fit Sneak Peek
The 2009 Honda Fit is redesigned, gaining more size and more power. This is Honda's smallest car. The 2009 model is 2-inches longer in wheelbase and 2.2-inches longer overall than the 2007-08 Fit. It is powered by a 118-hp 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, an increase of 9 hp. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, and a 5-speed automatic with steering-wheel mounted shift paddles is optional. The 2009 Honda Fit will reprise base and Sport trim levels. The Sport will have 16-inch wheels (base models get 15-inch wheels), subtle aerodynamic body add-ons, and upgraded trim. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front side airbags, and curtain side airbags. Other available features include a USB port for digital music players, seats that can be arranged into four different configurations, and a navigation system. We have not yet tested a 2009 Honda Fit.
