If gigantic, "bling-y" wheels and other flashy trim bits are important to you, the Edge Sport should be up your alley. Less-ostentatious types would be better served by the less expensive but no less luxurious Limited model.

Ed Piotrowski

Trim and huge wheels do not a sporty SUV make. What would make the Edge Sport truly live up to that moniker would be removing the stupid-large 22-inch wheels and putting in the EcoBoost V6 engine. As it stands now, if the Ford Edge appeals to you, skip the Sport, save some money, and go with the SEL or Limited.

Jennifer Geiger

There wasn't a whole lot of sportiness to Edge Sport, save ridiculously large wheels and some interior and exterior detail bits. I personally don't see the need to spend around $5,000 to "upgrade" to this model from the SEL.

John Biel

The only things the Sport adds that can't be had on any other Edge--even as options--are its 22-inch wheels. You've got to really like the look of 22s on your "whip" to think they're worth the extra $2500 Ford charges over the cost of an Edge Limited. (If you must have the feel of leather/alcantara upholstery--standard on Sport--under your backside, it's a $525 option on the SEL, which starts for about $5300 less.) Fuel economy in the 15s is no bargain, either.

Tom Appel

Edge is a big seller for Ford, though I think it's one of the maker's weakest offerings. Still, good packaging makes for ample people and stuff space, and an apparently more-refined engine for '09 means a more pleasant commute. The Sport is silly. Too-big wheels look cartoonish and only serve to tarnish ride quality. I am much looking forward to Ford applying the same cabin magic to the Edge that it has to the Fusion. A classier interior will go a long way towards making this popular crossover a serious contender.
