With abundant room for a whole lot of people and stuff, good diesel mileage, and easy-to-drive qualities, Sprinter sells itself very well. For a huge van, it's easy enough to drive and park, due to good steering and few blindspots. Our test vehicle, a 12-person passenger van, stickered close to $60,000, so it makes sense for airport shuttle businesses and big families who need the room and want easy access to all rear seats, but not many others.

If I win the lottery I'm buying one of these. I have no real use for it but I enjoyed the hell out of driving it around for no reason.

Tom Appel

At about 20 mpg, this great hauler of man and material deserve a spot on more shopping lists. Compared to thirsty conventional full-size vans, the Sprinter is easier to drive, easier to be a passenger in, and much nicer riding. If you've got a large brood, think about a personal-use Sprinter. The only thing you really lose is drive-thru window access...which could save you some money in the long run.
