2009 Chevrolet Camaro Full Review
Date Published: 6/19/08
2009 Chevrolet Camaro Sneak Peek
What was originally the 2009 Chevrolet Camaro will now debut as a 2010 model. The new sporty coupe marks the return of this General Motors division's iconic "pony car." It bows as a 2-door coupe with a 2-door convertible model slated to arrive later in the the same model year. Many of the styling cues are derived from the 1969 Camaro. The 2010 version shares some of its basic design with the Pontiac G8. Two engines should be available--a V6 and a V8. The V6 should be a 3.6-liter unit that produces about 300 hp. The V8 will likely be a 400-hp 6.2-liter. It also would feature GM's Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation system. Six-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmissions should be available with both engines. Available safety features should include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, and front side airbags. We have not yet tested a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. For more information, check out our 2010 and 2011 Camaro articles in our Future Cars section.
