The 2009 Cadillac DTS receives a few new features. This premium large car has front-wheel drive and comes in base, Luxury I, Luxury II, Luxury III, and Performance trims. Also offered is the DTS-L, which has an 8-inch-longer wheelbase than other versions. All have a 4.6-liter V8 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission. Base and Luxury models have 275 hp; Performance has 292. Available safety equipment includes ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front side airbags, and curtain side airbags. Also offered are blind-spot alert and lane-departure warning systems. Leather upholstery is standard on all DTS models, as is OnStar assistance. Heated front and rear seats and a heated steering wheel are available, as are cooled front seats. A new 17-inch wheel design is available on Luxury III models. The high-end Platinum Edition package is available on the Luxury III and Performance. It features unique exterior and interior trim and a navigation system. Newly available for 2009 are a wireless cell-phone link, and the navigation system now includes real-time traffic information.
