Vehicle Highlights
The 2009 Cadillac CTS-V marks the return of this high-performance model to Cadillac's midsize sedan roster. The CTS-V took a one-year hiatus when the CTS lineup was redesigned for 2008. The 2009 CTS-V is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged version of the Chevrolet Corvette's V8 engine. It produces 556 hp and is mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The CTS-V comes standard with GM's Magnetic Ride Control suspension. It uses sensors to monitor road conditions and adjust suspension tuning accordingly. GM also is offering its "Performance Traction Management" system on the CTS-V. This system is similar to GM's Stabilitrak antiskid system, but it is set to aid performance in spirited driving. The CTS-V also gets an upgraded interior that includes optional Recaro-brand seats with 14-way adjustment. Also optional is an Alcantara suede-like microfiber wrap for the shift lever and steering wheel. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. Available features include steering-linked headlamps and keyless entry and ignition. A navigation system is optional.
