2009 Cadillac BRX Full Review
Date Published: 1/29/08
2009 Cadillac BRX Sneak Peek
The 2009 Cadillac BRX is a new entry-level SUV from General Motors' luxury division. BRX will share some of its basic design with the Saturn Vue. It will adopt some of its styling cues from the PROVOQ concept SUV that was shown at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show. While the PROVOQ was a hydrogen fuel cell/electric hybrid, BRX will use a traditional gasoline powertrain, most likely a version of GM's 3.6-liter V6 engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. A gas/electric hybrid version could be a late addition to the BRX roster as well. Models with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive should be available at the start of production. Available safety features should include ABS, traction control, an antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. On the amenities side, count on leather upholstery, heated seats, a navigation system, rear-obstacle detection and a rearview camera making the features list.
