Vehicle Highlights
The 2009 Audi A6 receives freshened styling and is available with a new V6 engine. This premium midsize car comes as a sedan or Avant wagon. Several models are available. The base car is the 3.2, which has front-wheel drive, a 255-hp 3.2-liter V6 engine, and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). All other A6 versions have Audi's quattro all-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission. New for 2009 is the 3.0T quattro, which is offered as a sedan or wagon. It has a supercharged 300-hp 3.0-liter V6. The 4.2 quattro is a sedan, which has a 350-hp 4.2-liter V8. At the top of the A6 roster is the sporty S6 sedan, which has a 435-hp 5.2-liter V10. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front and rear side airbags. All A6 models have Audi's MMI (Multi Media Interface) control that uses a console knob and switches, and a dashboard screen to adjust audio, climate, and other functions. A navigation system and keyless access/engine start are available. An air suspension is no longer offered.
