It's no standout in terms luxury or personality, but this Sable Premier can count exceptional passenger and cargo space, AWD traction, and decent all-around performance in its list of attributes.

Sable grew on me after a day or two; it's really a very practical car, but I was put off by (on the one hand) the too-tricky touch screen technology, and (oddly enough) by the overwhelming feeling that this Sable might have seemed fresh in 1995. So where is FoMoCo going with Taurus and Sable? Not into the future, I'm afraid.

The Sable does a great job being a large sedan in the American tradition, but this isn't your father's Grand Marquis. Healthy doses of refinement, comfort, practicality, and value make it an attractive choice in this class.

I have to admit that I didn't expect to like this car as much as I did. It had decent acceleration and a comfortable ride. The only thing I didn't like about it is the rather chunky and uninspired styling. It would be a fantastic rental or company car but wouldn't expect it to be the subject of anyone's daydreams.
Jack Stewart
Sable is an often overlooked value. Its combination of expansive interior room and good fuel economy is hard to beat.
John Biel
The lesson here is that the Sable might be a little short of credits to earn a "fun-to-drive" degree, but is has the faculties to be a worthwhile and affordable family sedan.
