2008 Mazda B-Series: Overview

The 2008 Mazda B-Series trucks are little changed, but the B3000 models with the 3.0-liter V6 engine have been discontinued. Mazda's pickup borrows its basic design from the Ford Ranger, but it differs in styling and features. B-Series offers regular-cab and extended Cab Plus 4 models. All come with a two-passenger front bench seat. Bucket seats are optional only on the B4000 Cab Plus 4 SE. Cab Plus 4 models add two rear jump seats and rear-hinged access doors. The B2300 has a 143-hp 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine. B4000s use a 207-hp 4.0-liter V6. All offer manual or automatic transmission. B2300 models are rear-wheel drive only. B4000s have 4-wheel drive that should not be left engaged on dry pavement but includes low-range gearing. Available safety equipment includes ABS. The Mazda B-Series' performance and accommodations mirror those of similarly equipped Rangers.
