Vehicle Highlights
Cosmetic revisions and a standard antiskid system for all models highlight 2007 for these Volvos. V70s are wagon versions of Volvo's S60 sedan; Volvo's XC70 is essentially a V70 with SUV styling cues and a slightly raised suspension. V70s get a subtle front-end restyle and revised interior trim for '07. All have a 5-cyl engine. The V70 2.4 has 168 hp. The turbocharged 2.5T has 208 hp. The performance-oriented V70 R has 300 hp. R has all-wheel drive; the others are front-drive. The 2.4 comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, the R with a 6-speed manual. A 5-speed automatic is standard on 2.5T, optional for 2.4. A 6-speed automatic with manual-shift capability is available for the R. Standard on the R is Volvo's Four-C suspension that's driver-adjustable for ride and handling. An antiskid system is now standard for all these wagons, not just the R. Front side airbags and curtain side airbags are also standard. Dual-screen DVD entertainment is a new option for all but the R. Other available features include dual integrated rear child seats, navigation system, and rear obstacle detection. A rear-facing 3rd-row seat for seven-passenger capacity is a dealer-installed option available on all but the R.
