2007 Volvo S60: Overview

A subtle facelift marks Volvo's 2007 midsize sedans. S60s use turbocharged 5-cyl engines and offer front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Horsepower is 208 for the 2.5T and 2.5T AWD models, 257 for the sporty front-drive T5, and 300 for the high-performance AWD S60 R. T5 and R offer manual and automatic transmissions; 2.5s come only with automatic. T5 has a specific sport-tuned suspension. Standard for R is Volvo's Four-C suspension with driver-selectable settings to emphasize ride or handling. Traction/antiskid control is standard for 2007 on all S60s, not just the R. ABS, front side airbags, and curtain side airbags continue standard. Also for '07, steering-linked bi-xenon headlamps are newly available on 2.5T and T5 models. A navigation system and rear obstacle detection are options. All S60s have modest styling changes and revised interior trim for '07. The 2.5s also get a firmer suspension than previously used.
