The FJ's Tonka-toy styling often puts form before function, and its extreme-off-roading design is detrimental to on-road performance. FJ Pricing is very competitive, but there are many less-radical SUVs that are more-sensible choices for most drivers.
Ed Piotrowski
FJ is a radical departure from Toyota's generally conservative design philosophy. And it works, as this SUV is pleasant to drive every day while boasting solid off-road credentials at prices that generally undercut rivals from Jeep and HUMMER.
