Year to Year Changes
2008 Mini Cooper:
As the 2008 model year began, regular models were virtually unchanged. Convertibles retained the 2002-07 design. At mid-season, a new body style debuted. Called the Clubman, it was an extended version of the hatchback: about 9 inches longer overall, on a wheelbase 3 inches longer than usual. A third door was installed on the passenger side, to ease access into the roomier back seat. Rear "barrel" doors went on the Clubman, in contrast to the hatchback's lift-up design.
