Trouble Spots

Consumer Guide's® Auto Editors have scoured repair bulletins and questioned mechanics to search for commonly occurring problems for a particular vehicle. In some cases we also give possible manufacturer-suggested solutions. In many instances these trouble spots are Technical Service Bulletins posted by the manufacturer, however, we have our own expert looking at additional vehicle problems.

Air conditioner: The rear vents blow warmer air then the front vents when the A/C is on requiring replacement of the rear duct servo on some early-production vehicles. (2007)

Audio system: Noise may come from the speakers when using an MP3 player, etc. plugged into the auxiliary power port; an improved port with electrical filters has been made available. (2007-08)

Rear axle noise: The rear brakes may make noise and wear out prematurely and revised brake pads have been made available. (2007-08)

Steering noise: Popping or clunking noises from the steering wheel may require replacement of the steering column intermediate shaft. (2007)

Transmission noise: The vehicle may vibrate and a droning noise may come from the engine compartment while the transmission is in gear requiring replacement of the active control motor mount. (2007-08)
