2007 Pontiac Solstice: Overview

Pontiac's 4-cyl, two-seat convertible adds a high-performance model for 2007. Solstice shares its rear-wheel-drive architecture with the Saturn Sky, but has different styling. Both have a manual-folding soft top with a heated glass rear window. The top folds into the trunk. The base Solstice has 177 hp. New for '07 is the high-performance Solstice GXP with a 260-hp turbocharged 4-cyl. Solstices come with a 5-speed manual transmission. A 5-speed automatic is optional. Four-wheel disc brakes and 18-inch wheels are standard. Air conditioning is optional. ABS, power windows and door locks, leather upholstery, and cruise control are standard on GXP, optional on the base. An antiskid system is standard on GXP, unavailable otherwise. The GXP also has specific suspension tuning. Side airbags are unavailable on Solstice.
