Vehicle Highlights
Nissan redesigns its compact sedan for 2007, giving it freshened styling, more power, and added features. The '07 Sentra is 5.9 inches longer in wheelbase and 2.3 inches longer overall than the 2000-2006 model. Base 2.0, uplevel 2.0 S, and top-line 2.0 SL models are offered. All have a 140-hp 2.0-liter 4-cyl engine, which replaces a 126-hp 1.8. The 2.0 and 2.0 S come with a 6-speed manual transmission. Optional on those versions and standard on 2.0 SL is a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). High-performance SE-R and SE-R Spec V are midyear additions to the Sentra lineup. The SE-R has a 177-hp 2.5-liter 4-cyl and a CVT; Spec V also has a 2.5-liter 4-cyl but with 200 hp and a mandatory 6-speed manual. ABS is standard on SL, SE-R, and Spec V, optional otherwise. SE-R and Spec V have 4-wheel disc brakes, sport suspension, and specific exterior and interior styling cues. Front side airbags and curtain side airbags are standard. Also standard are air conditioning and power windows and locks. On 2.0 models, the rear seat cushion can be flipped forward, allowing the split rear seatback to fold flat with the floor. Leather upholstery, wireless cell phone link, and keyless locking/starting are standard on SL.
