2007 Lincoln Mark LT Review
Lincoln's luxury pickup truck adds an extended-wheelbase model, optional navigation system, and revised styling for 2007. The Mark LT is essentially a dressed-up Ford F-150 SuperCrew crew cab. For '07, a 150.5-inch wheelbase model with a 6.5-foot cargo bed joins the 138.5-wheelbase/5.5-foot bed model. Both have two front buckets and a rear bench seat for five-passenger capacity. The lone powertrain is a 300-hp V8 and 4-speed automatic transmission. It comes with rear-wheel drive or with 4WD that should not be left engaged on dry pavement but includes low-range gearing. ABS is standard. Side airbags and curtain side airbags are not available. Leather upholstery is standard. A navigation system and 20-inch wheels are newly optional. Other options include power-adjustable pedals, sunroof, DVD entertainment, rear obstacle detection, running boards, and a tubular bed extender.
Competition
Consumer Guide® Automotive places each vehicle into one of 18 classes based on size, price, and market position. Large Pickup Trucks are traditionally the vehicles of choice for heavy-duty hauling and towing. They offer an array of cab styles and bed lengths and usually feature powerful V8 or diesel engines. For personal use, consider light-duty half-ton models. For heavy-duty or commercial use, consider three-quarter- or one-ton models.

We have no Best Buys in this class. Our Recommended picks are the Chevrolet Avalanche, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Classic, Ford F-150, and GMC Sierra 1500 Classic.

New or significantly redesigned models include the Chevrolet Avalanche, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, and Toyota Tundra.
News
Sources say Mark LT should be updated again for model-year 2009. Changes will include various underskin measures shared with '09-model Ford F-150s, plus freshened styling, all on the current "T1" platform. A new, more-powerful 6.2-liter V8, part of Ford Motor's upcoming "Hurricane" family, will likely be available by 2010.
