Lexus sells a lot of these, but I don't quite know why. The GX is smooth and polished, and its drivetrain is, though not especially strong, responsive and incredibly refined. But the prices here are stunning, and the brand's own RX models offer similar passenger space and better handling. These puppies are thirsty, too, sucking gas at an embarrassing rate. For this kinda money, I'd be shopping Mercedes' über-functional R-Class for its true six-passenger seating, or the impressive new Acura MDX for its sporty moves and better fuel economy.
