Vehicle Highlights
A new sedan model and minor interior trim changes mark Kia's entry-level compacts for 2007. Rio comes as a 4-dr sedan in base, LX, and new-for-'07 SX trims. Also available is a 4-dr hatchback called Rio5; it comes in SX trim only. All have a 110-hp 4-cyl engine. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard. A 4-speed automatic is available on LX and SX. Front side airbags, curtain side airbags, and 4-wheel disc brakes are standard. ABS is optional except on the base sedan. Rio shares its powertrains and underskin design with the Accent from Kia's parent company, Hyundai.
