Vehicle Highlights
This 4-dr wagon is the first car-type SUV offered by General Motors' GMC division. Acadia shares its basic design with the Saturn Outlook and premium-midsize Buick Enclave. It seats up to eight and comes in SLE and SLT trim. The sole powertrain consists of a 275-hp V6 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive without low-range gearing is available. Seven-passenger seating is standard with 2nd-row bucket seats and a 3rd-row bench. A 2nd-row, three-person bench is optional. GM's Smart Slide 2nd-row seats have flip-forward bottom cushions and sliding backrests. They're designed to allow easier access to the 3rd row and are standard. ABS and an antiskid system with rollover sensors are also standard; traction control is standard on 2WD models. Also standard are front side airbags and curtain side airbags that cover all seating rows and include rollover deployment. Rear obstacle detection, remote engine start, and DVD entertainment are optional on SLE and SLT. A navigation system and sunroof with rear glass panel are exclusive SLT options.
