As a pure performance machine, few other sports cars can approach Corvette's aptitude, and none can come close in terms of price. With the 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine on the horizon, Chevrolet is upping the performance ante even higher. Still, if you can't wait for the 2008 models, an '07 'Vette is more than satisfying.

Who needs overhead cams. The big overhead-valve V8 delivers all the power anyone could want, is always smooth, and has great fuel economy.
