These Golf models are 4-dr hatchbacks. The sporty GTI is a 2-dr hatchback. Golf offers GL and GLS trim with a 115-hp 4-cyl engine. The Golf GLS TDI has a 100-hp diesel 4-cyl. The GTI has a turbocharged 180-hp 4-cyl. All are available with a 5-speed manual transmission. The available automatic transmission is a 4-speed for GL and GLS models, a 5-speed automatic with manual shift gate for GLS TDI and GTI.
